Gerald (Jerry) Marrs, 41, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois on Sunday, September 1 earned the honor of 1st Place in the Illinois Valley Midwest Classic at Illinois Valley Super Bowl. Marrs captured the title and earned $2,000 for his efforts by averaging 224.29 over 14 games. He finished the Qualifying Round in 5th place while averaging 223.86 over 7 games. In 5 games in the Round Robin he moved up to 1st place with a 226.17 average over 12 games. In those match play games he went 5-0-0 and remained positioned in first play following the position round. Marrs beat Steve Taylor (2nd Place - $1000.00) in the final and only game he bowled in the Stepladder Round. Rounding out the top four was Nicholas Pate (3rd Place - $800.00) and Charlie Brown, Jr. (4th Place - $600). There were participants from ten states and two countries.
Winners of the youth Pro Am Tournament held Saturday, August 31, 2019 were: 12 and over division - 1st Place Landen Miller, 2nd Place Sarah Beier and 11 and under division - 1st Place Rosie Brown.
