Mike Dole Wins Pro Tournament

Mike Dole of Loves Park, Illinois captured the trophy and the top cash prize for the PBA Midwest Region Illinois Valley Open Tournament held at Illinois Valley Super Bowl, October 15, 2016.  The field included 42 players who qualified and bowled in the tournament.  Doyle bested Eugene McCune in the 248 - 211 in the title match and collected a $2,100.00 cash prize .  McCune took home second place and $1,200.00.  The weekend also included a Fab 5 Tournament with 11 teams participating.  Four amateurs form a team and select a pro to join them.  They bowl 12 games of Baker format.  The pros bowled a doubles tournament called the Pro Am.  Each bowler rolls three games with three different pros.  Tammy Harris was the winning adult amateur.  Kelton Pelzer (age 12 and over) and Rush Steen (age 11 and under) were the youth amateur winners.
