Job Opportunities - Bartender and Janitor

Tasks include, but not limited to:

  • Mix and serve drinks to patrons, directly or through wait staff.

A.J. Johnson wins Regional PBA Title

A.J. Johnson of Oswego is no longer searching for his first Regional PBA title this year.  Sunday, September 3 he earned the honor of 1st Place in the Illinois Valley Midwest Classic at Illinois Valley Super Bowl.  Johnson captured the title and earned $1700 for his efforts by averaging 226.93 over 13 games.  He beat Kyle Sherman in the title match 253 - 237.  Sherman finished 2nd overall and won $900.  There were participants from 11 states.  

In 2017 Johnson finished second in Xtra Frame Reality Check Classic losing to Josh Blanchard 232-204 in championship match and finished fourth in Xtra Frame Lubbock Sports Open losing to Marshall Kent 259-228 in opening stepladder match.  He is the holder of 4 Regional PBA titles.

Youth Scholarship Champions

I.V. Super Bowl held the Spring Youth Scholarship Tournament Saturday May 6, 2017.  The top three winners in each age division earned scholarship money that may be used for higher education.  The top three (age 11 and under) 1st  Aiden Kent-Tucker ($300.00), 2nd James Bauer ($200.00), 3rd Olivia Weber ($50.00) and Kennedy Pelzer ($50.00); (12 and over) 1st Payton Pawlak ($300.00), 2nd Payton Ferguson ($200.00), 3rd Kyle Jordan ($100.00); and (High School) 1st David Hillyer ($500.00), 2nd Bradyn Atkinson ($300.00), 3rd Nathan Stubler ($200.00).

Sutton and Stubler Sign with St. Ambrose University

Mendota and L-P High School Senior bowlers, Gillian Sutton and Nate Stubler signed letters of intent to bowl with the St. Ambrose University Fighting Bees.  Present for the Gillian's signing at Illinois Valley Super Bowl were Head Coach Eric Littig and Assistant Coach Jeff Griebel from St. Ambrose, parents Laura and Barry Sutton, brother Brock and Mendota High School Coach Scott Vickrey.  Nate was represented by the St. Ambrose coaches, his dad and coach, Bob Stubler, mom Sindee and L-P Athletic Director Chris Kirkpatrick.

Both seniors are members of the Sunday Night High School League at I.V. Super Bowl.

Nate Stubler IHSA State Bowling Champion

La Salle - Peru High School Senior and I.V. Super Bowl High School League Bowler, Nathan Stubler is the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) 2017 Individual Bowling Champion.  Not only did he win the tournament after finishing fourth last year, he broke numerous state records.  He holds the day 1 tournament record with a 1,642 six-game series that included games of 269, 268, back to back 300 games (record), 278 and 227 easily besting the previous record of 1,575.  Between games 2 and 5 he rolled 34 consecutive strikes and did not have an open frame on the day.  His average was 273.7 heading into day 2.  His round 1 score of 837 is also the new record for a 3 game series.

In day 2 of the tournament he bowled 246, 247, 236 (729), 269, 248, 228 (745) for a two day grand total of 3,116 pins and now holds the state record for total score besting the previous record of 3,011.  He finished with a 259.7 average over second place Collinsville Senior Clayton Hartman who finished with a grand total 2,808 series and a 234 average.  The two day tournament was held at St. Clair Bowl in O'Fallon.

Nate grew up at I.V. Super Bowl alongside his parents, proprietor's Bob and Sindee Stubler.  He has worked long and hard for this deserving accomplishment.  He was the State Champion in 2013 as an 8th grader at Holy Family School in Oglesby.
